Who Qualifies For A Bursary Or Student Loan From NSFAS?
The National Student Financial Aid Scheme (NSFAS) has formally opened the 2025 application process.
Applications are actually open and will shut on fifteen December 2024.
*** Who qualifies for NSFAS funding
To qualify for NSFAS funding, an applicant must fulfill the following requirements:
• Be a South African citizen or copyright who comes from a house that has a combined gross family earnings that does not exceed R350 000 for every annum.
• Persons with disabilities qualify if their combined domestic profits will not exceed R600 000 per annum.
• SASSA recipients instantly qualify for funding and need not post any evidence nsfas status of income.
*** Loan Scheme for the Missing Middle
The NSFAS Loan Scheme for the nsfas application missing middle is open up to all South African citizens and permanent residents from households with combined R350 000 and R600 000 for every annum.
Applicants are reminded to provide the right Id Document numbers, names, and surname, as reflected of their South African ID.
NSFAS only funds individuals who are learning or plan to research at a public university or TVET college in South Africa.
